Ulmae, Typis J. Saurii, 1627.

Kepler (1571-1630) used the precise observations of Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe (1546-1601) to produce the Rudolphine Tables, the first application of Copernican theory that improved on the accuracy of Ptolemy's model. The tables are named for Emperor Rudolph of the Holy Roman Empire, whom Kepler served as Imperial Mathematician.

The frontispiece shows several famous astronomers, including Copernicus and Tycho Brahe. Hanging on the columns are astronomical instruments and around the base of the structure the process of printing is illustrated.
